intensive weekend
FLOW
This TaoTango weekend is like a spiral. First moving inside and closer to ourselves.
Becoming more and more silent and receptive. Then finding what is vital inside, becoming alive and move in freedom.
Connected within and free of fear. Finally dancing together sharing the joy of life. And then to move into silence again with a smile.
What is Tao?
Tao is an ancient wisdom on how to live a truly blissful life. It goes beyond words, methods and religions.
It includes being in the flow of life, without resistance and distance, enjoying the opposites and going beyond it.
Becoming innocent and playful like a child and finding freedom in each action.
Isn't it great to bring these Tao qualities into the tango? We think it is! So let's TaoTango!
What is TaoTango?
TaoTango is about the way, the river, the flow. We all know these moments in the dance where everything 'outside' seems to disappear.
There is silence and expression at the same time, fully in tune with the music, the partner and the world around us.
Time, leading and following is disappearing in a deep connectedness. In these magical moments we are in the flow.
We become the dance and the dance is exactly what it should be.
'Being in the flow' also means that we have to let go of our goals, judgements, hopes, fears and everything else that gets between us and
living fully in the moment. It is all about the quality of the search itself and not the result.
What is the program?
The weekend includes - next to many hours of dancing - several 'TaoTango' workshops (total about 8 hours) from Friday till Sunday.
We use our skills as tango and 'open dance' teachers and our experience with different awareness and movement disciplines.
We deepen our Tango through meditation, movement, breath, voice, touch and sharing.
We start Friday evening with a TaoTango workshop (open to the public) and a public milonga.
The rest of the weekend is only for the participants of the TaoTango Intensive.
